The Brittany
The Brittany
Origins
The Brittany breed (also named Brittany Spaniel, Epagneul Breton, Brittany Wiegref, Brittany Pointer, American Brittany) has its origins in the region of France, in the late 19th century. It was mainly used as a bird hunting dog and it is sometimes seen in dog competitions. There is a differentiation between the French style Brittany and the American style ones (the French ones are similar to the smaller spaniels, while the American Brittany is faster and a bit taller).
